Blue Mist in the Valley

The mist lies along the roots. The Snawfus breathes sapphire. The Jimplicute steps out girl-height — bark, then shadow — and goes home through the same face. No crates. A picture of a door that was already open.

Last year’s tin in the lid. The mist stands. The Snawfus wears more flower. The Jimplicute is larger. Two reels on the Quonset path. Time is speeding up. The end of time is getting closer.

Two old tins in the chest. The mist is a flood. The Snawfus is a second canopy. The Jimplicute is a colt of bark. Three years of outgrowing a year. Time is running out. The end of the world is even closer.
